Our Story

Welcome to Tiny Traveller, we’re so glad you found us. Founded in 2021, Tiny Traveller was born to provide functional, beautiful travel packaging that means travellers need never be without their creature comforts from home again. The idea came about after our founder Kim went on a family holiday to Kingscliff, NSW. The location was breathtaking, the apartment delightful and the weather a balmy 28 degrees. The only thing that wasn’t a breeze was the cooking. Not that she and her husband planned to do much of it, but, with a three and one year old in tow, eating out every night was sometimes more trouble than it was worth.

The issue they faced was that everything they wanted to cook required something different: a teaspoon of seasoning, some salad dressing, one kid wanted honey toast and the other peanut butter (plus Kim: always a vegemite girl.) So you see a few BBQs, salads, and breakfast requests all of the sudden required them to purchase their whole pantry, when really all they needed was a teaspoon of this, or a dollop of that.

Kim believed that if they were having these issues, surely others were too. Her friends confirmed her suspicion, so she decided to do something about it. And that’s how Tiny Traveller was born.

But we haven’t stopped with kitchen essentials. As Kim stood in their Airbnb bathroom wrestling with a toiletry bag that just wouldn’t quite shut, she felt a frustration she’d experienced many times before. Like many women, she liked to invest in her beauty and skin care, and wanted her investments to feel every bit as luxurious when she was away as they did at home. And yet, the only toiletry bottles on the market were often dysfunctional, poor quality and let’s face it, pretty ugly—not exactly a recipe for living your best life. At Tiny Traveller, we’re developing a gorgeous range of toiletry items because we believe women deserved something better.
